Abstract:
Along the boundary between elastic and fluid media, the surface Rayleigh wave propagates. The velocity of this wave in the case of plane boundary $v_{R0}$ is less than velocity of Rayleigh wave on a free plane boundary of an elastic medium $v_R$ and less than velocity $v_{P0}$ in a fluid medium. In order to investigate the velocity $v_{R0}$ in the case of curvilinear boundaries, we research propagation of the Rayleigh waves under consideration along cylindrical and spherical surfaces. The velocity of the Rayleigh wave depends on curvature of wave trajectory and curvature in direction perpendicular to trajectory. Furthermore this velocity depends on presence or absence of the fluid medium. Bibl. 5 titles.
