3rd International Conference on Control and Optimization with Industrial Applications — COIA 2011 (August 22–24, 2011, Bilkent University, Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey)
The 3rd International Conference on Control and Optimization with Industrial
Applications (COIA 2011) will be held at Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey, during
22&ndash24 August, 2011 (one week before the IFAC World Congress in Milano, Italy). The conference will provide a forum where engineers, scientists and mathematicians from
academia, industry and government organizations can meet to share ideas on recent
advances in all disciplines of science and engineering involving control and optimization.
Latest industrial applications of the control and optimization theory will be presented in
thematic special sessions.
Conference topics include (but not limited to):
Numerical Methods in Optimization (dynamic, convex, quadratic, integer, nonlinear and stochastic programming techniques; inverse problems).
Control Theory (linear, nonlinear, distributed parameter, large scale, fuzzy,
discrete event, hybrid and networked systems; classical PID, adaptive,
robust, stochastic, decentralized and optimal control methods; modeling and
system identification; fault detection).
Applications of Control and Optimization in various fields:):
signal processing (audio, image and video processing; sensor fusion;
data mining; applications in biomedical systems, radar, sonar, military
electronics and earth sciences);
information theory and telecommunications;
networks (computer, communication, sensor, biological and social);
mechatronics, robotics and manufacturing systems;
logistics, transportation and vehicle systems;
chemical process control (mining, metal and oil industry; bio-systems;
pharmaceutics);
power systems (power generation and distribution);
social systems (economic and business systems; international relations).
