This course provides an introduction to the minimal model program and the singularity theory of algebraic varieties. The aim of the course is to work with main theorems and examples of this area of algebraic geometry. This course could be of interest to students who want to study algebraic geometry. Prerequisites include some knowledge of it, for example, chapters 2 and 3 of Hartshorne's book should be enough.
