The conference dedicated to the memory
of academician Andrei Aleksandrovich Gonchar will
be held in Moscow, in Steklov Mathematical Institute of
the Russian Academy of Sciences on November 25–26, 2013.
The scope of this conference encompasses current
topics in complex analysis and approximation theory and includes
(but is not limited to) Pade approximations and their
generalizations, orthogonal polynomials and potential
theory. These are the principal fields of research,
where the main interests of A. A. Gonchar
were concentrated and where he obtained his main results.
