Preconditioning of Iterative Methods, Theory and Applications 2013 (July 1–5, 2013, Praha, Czech Republic)
The conference is in honor of the distinguished scientist Ivo Marek on the occasion of his 80th birthday.
The conference will cover theoretical and practical aspects of preconditioning techniques in scientific computing including:
(1) preconditioning of sparse matrix problems symmetric or non-symmetric, arising in large-scale real applications;
(2) multilevel preconditioning techniques, including multigrid, algebraic multilevel, and domain decomposition methods for partial differential equations;
(3) multilevel solution of characteristics of Markov chains.
The goal of the conference is to bring together experts, researchers, practitioners, and graduate students with the common interest in all areas of numerical linear algebra and preconditioning techniques.
