International conference «Selected topics of function theory»
dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Eugenie M. Nikishin (September 11–14, 2015, Moscow)
The conference is devoted to memory of E. M. Nikishin in occasion of the 70th anniversary of his birthday. The topics of the conference are related to the areas of research of E. M. Nikishin and his school.
At the conference there will be discussed contemporary problems of the real, complex and functional analysis, number theory, spectral theory and mathematical physics. A special attention will be paid to approximation of analytical functions by rational functions, in particularly, to the actively developing Hermite–Padé approximants for the Nikishin systems and their applications to number theory and mathematical physics.
