Gabriel Lamé - Russian period of his life and work

Abstract: Gabriel Lamé (1795-1870) - mathematician, mechanic, engineer, corresponding member of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences, member of the Paris Academy of Sciences. Proceedings of the Lame in the field of the mathematical theory of elasticity, mathematical physics and structural mechanics brought him deserved fame. He developed a general theory of curvilinear coordinates. In addition, he was an active supporter of the railways. The report is devoted mainly Russian period activity of G. Lame (1820-1831), which was the basis for the formation of the young scientist.
