Linear algebra and approximation problems in wireless algorithms design

M. Kirichenko

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd., Seoul

Abstract: The talk is intended to shed light on several (4–5) mathematical problems which are to be solved in order to improve robustness and flexibility of wireless multi-user communication systems. The first part of the talk is dedicated to the methods of solving a linear equation system with noised right hand component (including “white” and “colored” noise). The second part describes a global optimization problem of resource allocation and users’ signals distinguishing, which should be solved both in a centralized and a distributed manner. Topics are relevant to researchers working on approximation problems, probability estimation, regression analysis and distributed optimization in multi-agent systems.
