Quantum Phenomena in Photonic Waveguide Systems

A. Rai

Abstract: In recent years, lattices formed by evanescently coupled optical waveguides have become a versatile platform for investigating a variety of quantum effects. A key advantage of these systems is the ability to tailor different interactions through design. Moreover, the initial conditions of the light travelling through the array can be accurately controlled. These structures also demonstrate extremely low decoherence rates, even across long propagation distances. In this presentation, we will review several aspects of our research on optical waveguide arrays.
