Conditional limit laws for intermediate subcritical branching processes in random environment

Аннотация: For branching processes in random environment (BPREs), we present limit theorems for the intermediate subcritical case. These describe the asymptotic of the number of ‘bottlenecks’ and of the rescaled associated random walk, conditioned on survival. As an application, a simulation algorithm for BPREs is defined. Simulation results are presented to illustrate the limit theorems and the typical behavior of an intermediate subcritical BPRE, conditioned on survival. The talk is based on joint work with Götz Kersting.
