In this talk, I will discuss effects associated with the presence of the longitudinal-transverse (TE-TM) splitting in spinor polariton quantum liquids when spin-dependent interactions are taken into account. I will explore the excitation spectra of the two-component polariton systems and reveal the two velocities of sound, both dependent on direction. Furthermore, I will show that for a system of exciton-polaritons exhibiting the longitudinal-transverse (TE-TM) polarization splitting, the interplay between two oscillatory processes on a ring with two diametrically-located junctions may lead to periodic or complete switching of the circular polarization degree of the condensate to the opposite. These results demonstrate polariton fluids in ring configurations as excellent candidates for all-optical spin-switch applications, with prospects towards the observation of non-trivial polarization patterns.
