Abstract: This talk is based on the article by A. Polyakov and F. Popov [1]. We will consider several examples of the so-called "Kronecker anomaly" — the emergence of additional singular contributions to correlation functions associated with a discontinuous change in the number of degrees of freedom of fields when moving in momentum space. The presence of such contributions leads to various interesting physical consequences, such as the nonlocality of effective actions and problems with the analytical continuation of the results of QFT in a curved space from the Euclidean signature.
