First-order GLSM formulation for Grassmannians sigma models

Abstract: Sigma models are an interesting class of quantum field theories that arise in various physical and mathematical contexts. However, the study of these theories is fundamentally challenging due to their highly nonlinear nature, which manifests in the presence of an infinite number of interaction vertices. This motivates the task of finding alternative formulations for these models that contain only a finite number of interactions. I will discuss the solution to this problem for a certain "good" class of homogeneous spaces, consisting of unitary, orthogonal, and symplectic Grassmannians.
