Chair of Differential Geometry and its Applications at Moscow University

The history of our DG&A Chair goes back to the beginning of the XX century. In 2022-2023 years we celebrated the centenary of the scientific school and the seminar of our Chair first head, V.F.Kagan, and 90 years anniversary of the establishment of the Chair of Differential Geometry at Moscow University on November 16, 1933. In the talk, we will discuss a number of stories from the history of the Chair and its heads, the Chair's connections with famous scientists and research teams.
We will also talk about the scientific interests of our colleagues (the results they have obtained in recent years are described in more detail in the attached paper by the speakers in the issue dedicated to the 270th anniversary of Lomonosov Moscow State University), as well as about the scientific and educational facilities, programs and events organized at the Chair and the Faculty. The report is aimed at undergraduate and graduate students of the Chair and the Faculty, but it will also be interesting to a more wide audience.
