Abstract: We demonstrate the generation of Schrödinger cat-like states in spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC) with a fully quantized, depleted pump. Unlike undepleted-pump models, our approach reveals key quantum features: significant squeezing, super-Poissonian statistics, entanglement, and resilience to dissipation.
