Аннотация: Based on ethyl (S)-(–)-lactate, an original sequence of highly stereoselective transformations leading to (4S,5E)-4-bromomethylhept-5-enenitrile was developed using rearrangement of a chiral cyclopropyl carbinol as the key step.
