Аннотация: Photoacoustic calorimetry (PAC) is used to measure energy changes associated with the photochemical reaction of [cpV(C0)4] (cp = η5-C5H5) with H2 and N2 in n-heptane solution; fast time-resolved IR spectroscopy (TRIR) is used to establish the timescale of these reactions and to verify the quantum yields so that enthalpy changes can be calculated from the PAC signals and hence bond dissociation energies can be estimated
