A simple method for quantification of nonstoichiometric magnetite nanoparticles using conventional X-ray diffraction technique

Аннотация: A simple method was proposed for calculating the composition of nonstoichiometric or partially oxidized magnetite, based on a linear relationship between the position of the (440) peak in the X-ray diffraction pattern and the completeness of material oxidation. The results obtained were verified by the Rietveld refinement method and showed the possibility of a principal assessment of the magnetite/maghemite ratio.
