International Conference "Branching Processes, Random Walks and Probability on Discrete Structures" (June 21–24, 2022, Moscow)
Branching processes, random walks and probabilistic models in discrete
mathematics are classic directions of probability theory that do not lose their
relevance at the present time. These parts of probability theory are closely
intertwined. Thus, when analyzing the properties of branching processes in a
random environment, the so-called accompanying random walks are used,
which (depending on the nature of the problem under consideration) have to be
studied under various conditions on their trajectory. Reflected random walks are
a powerful tool in proving many theorems about the properties of random
permutations and mappings. Different versions of branching processes and
random trees are used in the analysis of probabilistic models in theoretical
biology, the study of epidemic processes and the study of various characteristics
of data retrieval algorithms. The aim of the conference to facilitate the exchange
of research ideas in the field of branching processes, random walks and
probability on discrete structures.
