International Conference “Anosov Systems and Modern Dynamics” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Dmitry Anosov

The conference is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Dmitry Anosov (1936–2014). It is focused on areas where D.V. Anosov worked — and first of all, on hyperbolic dynamics, for which he was one of the founding fathers.

Conference format. The conference program will include invited plenary talks and a poster session (open call).

Venues. On December 19 to 21 conference meetings will take place at the Steklov Mathematical Institute of RAS (Gubkina str., 8), on December 22 to 23 meetings will take place at the Faculty of Mathematics, National Research University “Higher School of Economics” (Usacheva str., 6).

Registration & Abstract submission. Registration of participants is closed on August 31. All applications were considered and acceptance/rejection letters were sent by the end of September. If an abstract of a talk was not attached to the registration form it can be sent to the conference e-mail: anosov80@mi.ras.ru till the end of October. The authors are advised to use the following template for abstract submission. It is recommended to submit abstracts no more than 3 pages long. The Book of Abstracts will be published in printed and electronic (on the conference site) forms.

Registration fee. Participants should pay registration fee of 200 € (reduced size of 4000 RUB is established for participants from Russia and CIS countries). Students (including PhD students) are exempt from paying this fee. Registration fee covers book of abstracts, coffee breaks and welcome party. Conference dinner and cultural program will be paid separately. Information about payment of the fee (bank account, etc.) will be sent to participants in the beginning of November.

Visa. Citizens of other countries may need visa to visit Russian Federation. One can obtain information on visa requirements on the sites of Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Russian consulate in one’s country. The organizing committee provides visa support for all participants by their request.

Accomodation. The participants are encouraged to take care about their accommodation on their own, for instance using www.booking.com website. We recommend the following nearby hotels:

“Sputnik” (Leninsky av., 38),
“Hotel Gallery” (Profsoyuznaya str., 4),
“Varshava” (Leninsky av., 2/1).

The organizing committee can provide a very limited number of cheap rooms in the Steklov Mathematical Institute building and in Moscow State University dormitory. Please apply if necessary. Preference will be given to students and to participants with plenary talks and posters.

Poster requirements. Poster height should not exceed 120 cm and its width should not exceed 90 cm (for example, portrait-oriented A0 paper satisfies these requirements). Participants can either bring the printed poster with them or send the poster file to the organizing committee before December 1. Estimated price for printing is around 10€.
