International conference on Function Spaces and Approximation Theory dedicated to the 110th anniversary of S. M. Nikol'skii (May 25–29, 2015, Steklov Mathematical Institute of RAS, Moscow)
The theory of function spaces and the theory of approximation of functions are actively developing branches of mathematics. They play an important role in modern mathematical analysis and have applications in many areas of mathematics and applied problems.
At the conference there will be discussed contemporary problems of the theory of differentiable functions on domains of Euclidean space and metric spaces: embedding theorems, interpolation properties of differential and integral operators, problems of harmonic analysis, widths of classes of functions, representation and approximation of functions, etc.
The conference is dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the outstanding scientist academician S.M. Nikol'skii. The topics of the conference are related to the areas of research of S.M. Nikol'skii and his school.
Registration of the participants:
Registration of the participants of the conference will take place in the Steklov Mathematical Institute (Conference hall, 9th floor).
Accommodation rates:
For accommodation of the participants of the conference there are the following
options:
Single room in a two-room unit (toilet and shower for two rooms) at the dormitory of the Moscow State University (MSU). Without refrigerator, TV, and phone. Cost: 1200 rubles per person per night.
Single 9 sq.m. room in a double unit (toilet and shower for two rooms) at the dormitory of the MSU. With refrigerator, TV, and phone. Cost: 1750 rubles per person per night.
Single 18-24 sq.m. room at the hotel complex of the MSU. With toilet, shower, refrigerator, TV, and phone. Cost: 2400-3000 rubles per person per night.
In the first three cases a request for booking accommodation should be sent to the Organizing Committee.
Moreover, there is an opportunity to personally book accommodation in nearby hotels:

It is planned to organize the delivery by bus of the participants of the conference from the MSU to the venue of the conference to the beginning of its work

Travel to the Steklov Mathematical institute:
From "Sheremetyevo international airport". Take aeroexpress to the final (and only) stop "Belorussian railway station".
Then go to the underground station "Belorussian radial". Next go to the station "Novokuznetskaya", move to the station
"Tretyakovskaya" (Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya line) and go to the station "Akademicheskaya". Go out starting from the last carriage of the train
to the left side and walk along Dmitrii Ulyanov St till crossing with Vavilov St. Turn to the right, go along Vavilov St till the house number 40.
The Steklov Mathematical Institute is in the neighbouring yard.
From "Vnukovo international airport". Take bus number 611 and go till the stop "Underground stop Troparevo".
Next take bus number 144 or minibus number 553 and go till the stop "Univermag Moskva". Go along the Gubkin St (nearest street to the bus stop, perpendicular to the Leninskii Prospect) till the house number 8
(the Steklov Mathematical Institute).
From "Domodedovo international airport". Take aeroexpress to the final (and only) stop "Paveletskaya railway station".
